The chances of getting pregnant before you have your period are higher because that is when you are most fertile in your ovulation stage. I advise condoms and Birth Control if you don't want to get pregnant.

∙ 13y agoSlim to none. The lining of uterus sheds during your period - right at the beginning (or very end) of your cycle - the hormones that trigger your period are wrong for ovulation or pregnancy.
The way women get pregnant during their period is to have a short cycle, early ovulation and very healthy sperm that hangs out for a week - waiting for the mature ovum. When this happens technically they got pregnant on their period because that's when they had intercourse, but conception actually occurs about 5 days later.
