What are the colors we see with eyes closed mean?

Of course, eyes don't stop seeing just because the lids are closed. Look towards the sun and close your eyes. You'll see red, that's the blood in your eye-lids. I'm not sure what causes you to see multicoloured lines when you close your eyes in the dark and rub your eyelids with your hands. But rest-assured it's normal.

With the eyes closed but not squeezed, and also gently covered with the hands or something else - but not tightly - so that no outside light can enter: the colors seen are not of the physical spectrum but of the auric and/or discarnate spectrum of energy. (Not everyone has this ability and many attribute any colors seen with the eyes closed as some sort of optical illusion.) The sixth/forehead chakra, also called the third eye, is that gland which the body uses to see and/or perceive those energies, i.e., visions, spirits, aura colors, etc. Having a receptive or open third eye does not indicate spiritual attainment just as having powerful Gifts of the Spirit does not either - unless those gifts are from one's own spiritual orchestration in and of The Light of God. But in the process of spiritually evolving one's chakras naturally become more receptive to intuitive information and higher awareness. (The fifth/throat chakra is what the body uses to receive clairaudient messages or psychic hearing.) The darker shades of aura color signify earthiness, lust, egotism, undisciplined emotions, etc. The lighter shades indicate genuine love, altruism, generosity, spiritual purity, etc. For example, pink indicates unselfish love and light green - outside of healing energy given from above - indicates that one's soul is in a state of growth.

Most of the people who are interested in conscientiously learning about this area of life are usually within the realm of the basically spiritual, which corresponds to the fourth and fifth planes of yellow and violet energy spirits respectively. As such, a common color to see and/or perceive is yellow. The colors received can also indicate the source of a message from Spirit. Generally speaking, the higher the color, the nobler and more credible the source but even this does not guarantee total accuracy. Just be careful and do not follow obviously dangerous advice. Sincerely ask the same question again another day - with radiant gratitude - and be receptive in meditation for a confirmation or not of that guidance and/or awareness.

In referencing the well-known seven plane/heaven paradigm that is found in various religions around the world, there is a corresponding scale of dominant aura colors. Spirits cannot hide their dominant aura color in The Light of God. In ascending order: brown (first plane - the lowest dimensions of hell), red (second plane - also considered a hellish set of dimensions), orange (third plane - where most souls gravitate to after death, just below a level of basic spirituality), yellow (fourth plane - where the basically spiritual go and where most of the religious heavens or large discarnate communities - cities of light - reside), violet (fifth plane - where some discarnate communities reside), sky blue (sixth plane - where the individualistic and saintly ascend who strive to be A Light Unto Oneself), and white (seventh plane - where higher echelon saints reside). There are higher planes but that goes beyond this topic. Suffice to state they are all intense white.

Knowing these colors changes one's entire perspective on higher energies and channeling spirits. When you receive a message from the Other Side, close your eyes and note the color behind the message. If it is of the typical orange or yellow color, then it is not really coming from a spiritual source. Also, if the message is overwhelming in energy it is also likely not coming from a spiritual or accurate source. However, if it is sky blue or white then this adds a certain degree of credibility behind the message.

This constitutes is a very practical method for discerning spirits and aura colors in general and I wholeheartedly recommend using this approach whenever you pursue clairvoyant awareness. Just be sure to breathe in energy - as in Qigong (chi-gong) exercise - to replenish your energy expenditure and also keep in mind that at first you may have slight headaches (stop for a while if you do and rest) because you are essentially cultivating psychic development. Like every other form of development: it takes time, practice, and patience.
