There are actually little to no data or statistical information on the particular subject. It is believed that there is almost never a case of anorexia in a third-world country. The reason for this is because those countries are usually very poor and resources like food and water can be scarce and hard to come by. As a result, people are starving. When food is given to them, they must eat in order to survive. They are not choosing to starve, as anorexics are.
