Symptoms can include watery very foul (shrimp smell) discharge, itching or burning in genital area. Or no symptoms at all. Trichomoniasis is a flagella parasite so it has to be killed by antibiotics. parasite is a tricky little thing to spot on a wet mount because they move so fast. I've been lucky enough to catch em swimming around on former patients' slides. That said Trichomoniasis is mainly diagnosed by symptoms and description of discharge. To remind you once again the smell is absolutely foul! I compare it to boiling shrimp on a Friday in the summertime (in Louisiana and its hot!) Throwing the heads and peelings away in the trash outside and the garbage men don't come til Tuesday. Nasty
