There is more than 2 specialisations on a sperm cell.
- it has a tail to propel it forward.
- it is able to store energy in mitochondria so that it can use it when it gets tired
- it has a lump on the front of it head (not sure what its called) but it uses it to break through the cell wall on the egg and be able to fertilise it.
Two sperm, one egg - no. Two sperm, two eggs - yes.
the egg cell and sperm cell
The two sex cell gametes are the ovum (egg) and sperm.
15. A sperm cell is an example of a haploid cell. Two haploid cells combine to form a diploid cell, of which a heart cell is an example.
The cell formed after fertilization by sperm and egg is called a zygote. A zygote is a diploid cell, meaning a cell that has two sets of chromosomes (one from egg, one from sperm).
Sperm cells are animal cells.
there is not two kinds..... only one
a zygote is a fertilized egg. one that has formed by the fusion of an egg cell and a sperm cell
A zygote is formed from the fusion of a sperm cell from the father and an egg cell from the mother during fertilization. This results in the formation of a single cell that contains the full set of chromosomes (half from each parent) and marks the beginning of a new individual's development.
A sperm is a single cell, so there is one cell per sperm.
The cell that fertilises the egg cell is called the sperm cell. _-------O That's how a sperm cell looks like <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
The destruction of sperm is called sperm cell death or sperm cell apoptosis.
