Blood carries white blood cells(immune cells) and anti bodies which protect the body from micro-organisms that can cause harm.It also clots any cuts in the vessels to prevent blood loss.

(I just outlined them.one other function is maintaining pH(acid-base balance) of the body.hope it helps!:))

Does grasshopper blood carry gasses?

Yes, grasshopper blood, like that of other insects, carries gases, but it does so differently than vertebrate blood. Insects have a tracheal system that delivers oxygen directly to their tissues, meaning their blood (hemolymph) does not transport oxygen in the same way that vertebrate blood does. Instead, hemolymph primarily functions in nutrient transport and waste removal, while the tracheal system is responsible for gas exchange.

Does blood transport oxygen in cockroach?

No, blood does not transport oxygen in cockroaches. Instead, they rely on a system of tracheae, which are air-filled tubes that deliver oxygen directly to tissues. The hemolymph (the insect equivalent of blood) primarily functions in transporting nutrients and waste products, rather than oxygen. Oxygen enters the tracheal system through small openings called spiracles.

Is sodium chloride passive transport or an active transport?

Active because concentration in cells must remain hight than in the blood.

Will the pancreas transport waste?

No, the pancreas does not transport waste. Its primary functions include producing digestive enzymes and hormones, such as insulin and glucagon, which help regulate blood sugar levels. Waste transport is mainly the role of the liver and kidneys, which filter and excrete waste products from the body. The pancreas plays a crucial role in digestion and metabolism rather than waste management.

Why oxygen molecules in the tissues of the lung go into the blood and then in other tissues the oxygen molecules leave the blood.?

This process is thru the use of passive transport. The oxygen in you lungs are of a higher concentration than it is in your blood and since hemoglobin likes oxygen it moves naturally into the the blood supply in the lungs. Your blood is then returned to the heart and pumped throughout the body. Because your blood has more oxygen in it than your cells do the blood thru the use of passive transport again give the oxygen to the cells and pick up waste product and carbon dioxide to be returned eventually to the heart. Your blood is then returned to the lungs where the blood once again disposes of the carbon dioxide thru the use of passive transport and picks up oxygen.

How does water transport compare with other kinds?

Water transport is preferred for transporting bulky goods over long distances economically, as ships can carry large quantities of cargo. It is slower than air transport but faster than road or rail transport for long distances. Water transport is also more environmentally friendly compared to other modes of transport.

Does your blood only look blue because of your skin color?

No. Everyones blood looks blue while in the body. The bodily functions are the same for everyone( other than people with medical issues) skin color isn't related

Are there more erythrocytes than leukocytes?

Yes, there are typically many more erythrocytes (red blood cells) than leukocytes (white blood cells) in the blood. The ratio of red blood cells to white blood cells is about 600:1. This difference in numbers reflects the different functions and roles of these two types of blood cells in the body.
