Yes, fibroids can cause prolonged bleeding, including heavy menstrual bleeding that lasts for several weeks. This condition, known as menorrhagia, can result from the size, location, or number of fibroids. If you experience continuous bleeding for four weeks, it's important to consult a healthcare professional for evaluation and appropriate management.

That depends on how much bleeding? Did you recently have sex because that can cause some bleeding. You don't always have to be in pain to miscarry. You should call your ob/gyn immediately.

I am 2.5 weeks post sigmoidectomy. I recently had a heavy bleeding for about 24 hrs, so I called and asked my doctor about it. She reassured me that bleeding for another 3-4 weeks would not be uncommon. She also told me that when you become more active and the bowels become more active, the stool passing the stapled area can cause bleeding. She emphatically told me that if it became worse or continued beyond that time to contact her immediately as it could be that the staples could have been pulled. Please be sure and contact your doctor to inform them of your condition.
