I have had pain on one side of the head/temple. And I would say depending on how bad the pain in the temple was, this would depend on how much tenderness there is. Like when you have a cramp for instance in the leg, if the cramp is bad enough ,when the cramp goes away , there is tenderness where the cramp was and could quite awhile. I had a terrible terrible pain in the one side of my head, went to the ER and the next thing I new, it was the next afternoon.
