Mild caliectasia is primarily caused by conditions that lead to urinary obstruction or increased pressure within the renal pelvis and calyces. This can result from factors such as kidney stones, urinary tract infections, or anatomical abnormalities. In some cases, it may also be associated with conditions like hydronephrosis or the presence of tumors. Monitoring and addressing the underlying causes are essential for managing mild caliectasia.
Caliectasia would mean a dilatation of the calyx, that part of the kidney's urine collecting system. Dilatation would mean there may be an obstructive or non-obstructive cause. This needs further investigation. There are a number of causes, rangng from temporary to permanent. The safest approach is a consultation with a Urologist, who would do more tests to determine the cause of the obstruction. @krissything@
