probably nerves, or if it is asleep (usually if your sitting on it or bending your leg) the blood flow in it drops, causing the leg to numb, and nerves to act up.
but it isn't this way when I get in bed just this way all day long other wise

Neuropathy
There is no telling. It could be from any number of causes. The nerves for your right middle finger and the middle of your right foot are close together in your spinal column and your brain. A problem affecting your foot or hand could affect the other or it could come from your brain. See if your shoe is too tight.
Poor circulation. When blood is cut off to the hands, arms, or feet, they can go numb, which causes the tingling or feeling of dead weight.
Sounds like peripheral neuropathy
You might have a pinched nerve, or something worse. I suggest going to the doctor.
six months ago i had a very bad pain shoot down the outside of my right leg from my buttock while i was working, this was diagnosed as sciatica after about three weeks the pain subsided and i was left with numbness in my right foot from the pinkie (little) toe down the outside of my foot to my ankle this caused me to walk with a slight limp, now six months later i am left with a tingling and tightness which has replaced the numbness making me limp even more. this week i have to go for blood tests and x rays on my foot and my back.

Sciatica is pain, tingling, or numbness produced by an irritation of the nerve roots that lead to the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve is formed by the nerve roots coming out of the spinal cord into the lower back. It goes down through the buttock, then its branches extend down the back of the leg to the ankle and foot.
