No. It is widely believed that Ring Around the Rosies is about the bubonic plague. However, as there is no evidence to support this idea, it is probably untrue. The children during the time of the bubonic plague sung this song because when they started sneezing they fell down and died. They didn't have the same medicines as we do now so they just died when they caught a cold. That is why they say atishoo atishoo we all fall down. The children made this up because they needed some form of entertainment.
the black plague (bubonic plague) song was also known as the " ring around the rosie' song. during the 1340's children would sing this song to show that person had the plague, and was going to die...
Miasma- meaning 'bad air', An aparant Middle Age cause for the bubonic plague, Cures were to hold a 'pocket full of posies' Some people say that 'ring araund the rosies' is a song about the Plauge.
The black death was a specific outbreak of diseases caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis, in 1347 to about 1352 in Europe. Historically, there has been some question about this, with some scholars suggesting different organisms being the cause, but modern forensics seem to support Yersinia pestis as the cause. There are three manifestation of disease, referred to as the bubonic plague, the septicemic plague, and the pneumonic plague. Most usually, the disease is bubonic, referring to the buboes or very swollen lymph nodes present. If the disease gets into the blood system, it becomes septicemic, and is very much more likely to be fatal. The pneumonic manifestation happens when the disease gets into the lungs, and in this form it can be spread by the droplets a person coughs up into the air, with the new victims getting it first in the lungs. There is a link below.
Most would argue that the nursery rhyme "Ring Around the Rosie" is based off the Bubonic plague. The first written copy of this song appeared in print in 1881, but this song has been sung since before 1790.
The bacteria were carried by fleas that were carried by rats. But what did they believe back then? A buncha stuff. Evil spirits, angry god, etcetera. The song ring around the rosy is purportedly about the symptoms of bubonic plague. Because one of the first symptoms was a rose colored ring-like rash. Ring a ring of roses, pocket full of posies (petals were believed to ward off evil spirits) ashes ashes (they burned the bodies) we all fall down.
There was a childrens sing/dance song called skamaress.

No. The first recorded appearance of the rhyme dates from 1881, decades before the onset of World War Two. It is widely believed that Ring Around the Rosey is about bubonic plague, but there is no evidence to support this and it is almost certainly untrue.
