What condition reflects lying about health issues for attention?

There is several possibilities which depend on how much or to what degree this individual is lying for attention. If the lying is to friends and acquaintances that has a minimal qualification as a simple attention getting behavior which usually flows from a child who was lying about other things to get attention from their parents. This could now be considered a personality flaw depending on how serious the lies are and to whom they are being told. If it becomes worse and there is a constant flow of unsubstantiated complaints of illness which are even followed by trips to a physician then it is a common form of hypocrondriasis, or it can be listed as a somatoform disorder. However if it is so severe as to cause the person to try to take on serious symptoms then it can be considered Münchhausen's disease. which is a pathological desire to be treated for diseases that the person reads about but does not have so they go so far as to try to simulate these symptoms especially the gastric symptoms of vomiting or drinking to much laxative compounds to cause diarrhea, etc. This is a rare but very well documented disorder which is very hard to cure because the patient is convinced of their own sickness even if the physicians aren't.
