Sounds as though it's muscle spasms, but that doesn't explain the dizziness. You could have two things going on at the same time...
There could be many reasons for feeling dizzy. The basic physical response is from adrenalin, or epinephrine. This is the "fight or flight" hormone produced during stress. That can make you nervous and jittery, and maybe dizzy. Of course, you could also have some kind of sickness that makes you feel bad. If it continues, have a doctor check you out.
your blood pressure could be high
The dizziness and light headedness makes references to Vertigo but there are several different possibilities.

because the shock that was received was very intense
When you whirl around, the fluid in your ears starts moving around. When you stop suddenly, the fluid keeps sloshing around for a bit. This makes you feel as if you are still moving even though you are not. This creates the dizzy feeling.
You would get dizzy and feel sick after giving blood because there is less blood flowing through your body which makes you feel weaker. In order to help counter that it is important to drink things like juice and have some sweets like cookies (which they should provide you) to help bring the sugar levels back up in your body.
