Scoliosis is a disease that is degenerative depending on your age, physical stature, gender, weight, etc. Typically i have seen women increase the curve 2 x in their lives. and that is when they are going through puberty and pregnancy. obviously the older you get and if your lose strength then the curve will increase as well. But in general physical therapy has helped 89% of the patients that i have treated with scoliosis. the issue is, i was forth coming with all my patients telling them there is no cure but what we can do is educate you on the proper exercises and stretches that will help you maintain the curve where it is right now and help you live more comfortably. Some other practitioners have used braces in the past and changed diets etc. The end all answer , stay strong and flexible. Let a good physical therapist teach you that today.
