That depends on what you are scared of. If it is something you can't do anything about, sometimes it is just better to forget all about it and think of happy stuff.

If it is something that you *can* do something about, then you should. You should either face your fear (if it is something important that you need to do) and get it over with, or (if it is something stupid or dangerous), you should trust your fear and your logic, and walk away.
