There are probably two ways to go (1) get a concreter to fill in the bottom. or (2) If you are just trying to make the pools hallow for the kids just let the water level go down and put a floating pool skimmer in it that is connected with a sealed hose to the existing static skimmer. You may also have to fit an inline leaf canister to take the place of the leaf basket but that way you can make the pool deeper as time goes by with an absolute minimum of expense.
