I'm sure some MDs might happen upon this question, but rather than run the risk of getting someone less qualified to make an educated guess I suggest you talk with your MD. He/she ordered your tests and will be happy to explain them. Both of those values indicate kidney function, but only your MD can asses your past and current medical history and come to a valid conclusion as to exactly how these values matter to you. To say they're good or bad lab values would be assessing the lab values and not you the patient.

What is the gfr of patient with urine creatnint clearance of 30?

The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) cannot be directly calculated from urine creatinine clearance. However, assuming a constant relationship between GFR and creatinine clearance, a urine creatinine clearance of 30mL/min may correspond to a GFR of approximately 30mL/min. Further evaluation by a healthcare provider is recommended.

What does GFR and Cretin mean on a blood test?

GFR stands for glomerular filtration rate, which measures how well the kidneys are functioning. Creatinine is a waste product produced by muscles that is filtered out of the blood by the kidneys. Elevated creatinine levels in the blood may indicate decreased kidney function.

What does a GFR of 49 mean?

The eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) is a number based on your blood test for creatinine. It tells how well your kidneys are working

What if creatinine level in a76 year old male and gfr is 10 i don't understand creatinine?

Creatinine is a waste product from muscle metabolism that is filtered out of the blood by the kidneys. In a 76-year-old male with a creatinine level of 10 and a GFR of 10, this indicates severe kidney impairment as kidneys are not effectively filtering out waste products from the blood. This may require intervention such as dialysis or kidney transplant to manage kidney function.

What does a GFR of 96 mean?

it is normal gfr level.

What is low GFR AA mean?

the GFR EST is a blood test used to estimate the glomerular filtration rate without performing a 24 hour urine for creatinine clearance. It is a calculation involving the patient's serum creatinine, age, and sex. If the patient is African American the equation is adjusted to account for an African American's greater muscle mass. A Non- AA or non- African American would not require the adjustment. GFR (glomerular filtration rate) Non- AA (African American)

What causes a high gfr level on lab test metabolic panel?

Healthy kidneys cause a high GFR level.

Where can one find the glomerular filtration rate?

Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is a measurement of how well one's kidneys are functioning. It is typically estimated on the basis of serum creatinine levels. One can learn their estimated GFR by visiting their physician.

What color tube to use for GFR calculations blood draw?

The color tube commonly used for GFR calculations is a lavender/purple top tube that contains the anticoagulant EDTA. This tube is used for collecting whole blood samples for testing creatinine levels, which is necessary for calculating the glomerular filtration rate (GFR).

I am a caucasian female with a high gfr black blood result what does that mean?

The eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate) is a number based on your blood test for creatinine. It tells how well your kidneys are workingIf you are "white," the "black" GFR norm does not apply to you. YOu can erase that result from your results page.

What does a GFR of 113 mean?

Your estimated GFR is 113 because your kidney function is good.
