I just got my braces 3 days ago, and my teeth are still pretty sore. I have discovered a perfect way to describe how your teeth feel after the first day. and this is it: It feels like every single one of the teeth that you have braces on is loose, so it hurts really badly to eat anyhting.. so what I'm doing and have been doing since i got them is drinking smoothies and chocolate shakes. It's the only "plus" for the first few days.

Hi! I just got my braces yesterday night, and as the other user has said, it really does hurt! Today it took me about four hours to finish my lunch, and all I ate was soft bread, broccoli and yoghurt. Well, I had a pretzel as well and I admit that was the most painful to chew (obviously!). I am just wearing braces on my top teeth, but my bottom teeth hurt as well! I have this retainer sort of thing to cover them.
I could not believe this morning when I woke up how fast my teeth has recovered. I had this huge gap in my front teeth, yet it is fixed, and it is only the first day! WOW. There was such a fast recovery, but luckily because I was asleep I didn't feel any pain during it. Maybe by the time someone has read this you have already gotten your braces so you know exactly what I mean.
I hope this helped in one way or another!
Your teeth feel incredibly smooth, and, at least in the day of metal braces, your jaw feels lighter.
Fake braces are tiny beeds that look like braces. They are waxed on teeth and put in a paperclip.
Yes you might feel pressure when wisdom teeth are erupting, whether you have braces or not.
If you get spacers, it feels like a really bad headache. Then, the actual braces feel like a half inch metal on your teeth. If you run your tongue over them, you might cut it. When they are tightened, it feels like a really bad headache. When I first got braces, I had to eat a lot of soup, smoothies, and sweet potatoes because it's hard to chew until 2-4 weeks. But, definitely brush your teeth everyday when you get them.
Teeth will look uneven and there will be gaps.
After you get your braces off, you should have really straight teeth. unless you do what the orthodontist tells you not to do. if you want really healthy straight teeth, then you should do everything the orthodontist tells you to do. Do everything down to the very last word braces look like chains on your teeth
An orthodontist can put braces on your teeth
braces are way worse! spacers only cause mild pain on the teeth they are touching. braces cause pain on all your teeth; plus, it will take weeks if not months for your gums & cheeks to get used to the braces. with braces, every time you bump your mouth for the first few months- blood & sores! it is very painful!! spacers just feel like a big chunk of dental floss is stuck between your teeth! nothing you can't handle. braces are an entirely different story!
the food you eat can get caught in your braces, leaving bacteria that could stain your teeth. then they turn yellow like the sun
Braces are for teeth that are crooked and at some orthodontics you can personalize them. Ask me any questions about braces if you would like!!!! Visit costofbraces.com.au
