What does it mean if migraines make you vomit?

If you have migraines which cause nausea and vomiting, speak with your doctor. There are versions of migraine abortives and anti-nausea medications which are injection, sublingual, and suppositories.

If you pay close attention to your body, you may actually be able to pick out smaller symptoms which hit before the full-on migraine occurs, giving you a chance to take other oral medication in the hopes of warding it off.

If you have a migraine hit and are vomiting, and have no way of getting to the doctor, you may wish to try a Benadryl Fast Melt. Benadryl is an anti-histamine, and histamine reactions are sometimes involved in the trigger of a migraine. Also, while there are much better medications out there, Benadryl can be used as an anti-nauseanant.

Water, cold water is usually very much an assistant. Drink 2-4 cups slowly, in a dark room if possible, rushing the process will only make you feel ill longer. Lay down in a manner allowing you to sit near upright, so the remaining contents will be less likely regurgitated. As well, once you feel as if you could eat some simple bread or crackers try to do so. The salt content is an assistant from crackers over many bread types. You must rehydrate slowly.

Many say use a hot / warm wet towel. However, this can cause restriction of the blood vessels after a hot / warm towel is removed. It is really quite useful for many.
