it means you are two cm dialated. 2 cm is not a big deal i was 2 cm with both my children at 30 weeks. they don't worry about it unless you are 4 or more cm i believe. its your cervix getting ready for birth.
At 30 weeks of pregnancy, your cervix may feel firm and closed, as it is still supporting the pregnancy. It should not be soft or dilated at this stage, as that typically occurs closer to labor. Some women may notice slight changes in texture or position, but significant changes should be monitored by your healthcare provider. If you have concerns about how your cervix feels, it's best to discuss them with your doctor.

If the doctor knows you are 30 weeks pregnant and wants to do it, it's probably safe. If you have questions, talk to the doctor and find out if there are any risks and what they are.
7 and a half. Normal pregnancy is about 40 weeks.
At 24 weeks of pregnancy, a typical cervical length is usually between 3 to 4 centimeters (30 to 40 millimeters). A cervical length shorter than 2.5 centimeters may raise concerns about the risk of preterm labor. However, it’s important to consult with a healthcare provider for individual assessments and recommendations. Regular check-ups can help monitor cervical changes throughout pregnancy.
Kidney or renal pain is not a normal symptom of pregnancy and could be sign of an infection. Call your doctor!
My wife says it is very early in the pregnancy as early as week 12! she is 30 weeks pregnant for the second time
Cervical measurements vary greatly, but a normal second trimester cervix is usually between 3 and 4 cm long (30-40 mm) If your cervix is less than 25 mm in length at 18-22 weeks, you are at higher risk for pre-term labor, pre-term delivery and incompetent cervix. Usually your doctor will recommend serial cervical measurements via transvaginal ultrasound if your cervix is found to be shorter than normal or if you have conditions that put you at higher risk for incompetent cervix and/or pre-term labor. Examples would previous second trimester miscarriage, previous pre-term labor and/or delivery, previous cervical surgery and multiple gestation.
Could possibly have to do with constricting of the umbilical cord if the mother is 30 to 40 weeks into the pregnancy.
