Digestion
Your GI, or gastrointestinal, tract breaks down foods. The make-up of the food you ingest will determine how it's broken down. Your mouth mechanically (chewing) breaks down all food and chemically breaks down carbohydrates. Your stomach breaks down proteins and fats. Your small intestine breaks down everything else via pancreatic acids and enzymes. Majority of carbohydrates break down in the small intestine.

Vital organs
that is a chorus
An organ system is a group of organs that work together to perform a closely related function. Examples include the respiratory system, which involves organs like the lungs and trachea working together to facilitate breathing, and the digestive system, where organs like the stomach and intestines work together to break down and absorb nutrients.
A fatal genetic disorder in which metabolic wastes build up in the body is known as a lysosomal storage disorder. This group of disorders occurs when there is a deficiency of enzymes needed to break down various substances in cells, leading to the accumulation of these substances in the body, causing damage to tissues and organs. Examples include Tay-Sachs disease and Gaucher disease.
