I tried injecting only in the morning to save money and because I had lost enough weight to lower my dose requirements. After going through 2 pens for 60 days each, I figured out that after 30 days, what's left in the pen causes severe nausea, diarrhea, and vertigo. I made the mistake of believing that as long as I kept the pen refrigerated that it would still be good. Wrong. I would like to hear from anyone with a similar experience in order to confirm my conclusion that using Byetta beyond 30 days was the cause of my problems.

Check the expiration date on the pen. DO NOT use after that date. Some people experience the reactions mentioned above even during the proper dates. These side effect can be seen.
