It's not really possible to pump "too much blood" to the whole body. The purpose of your circulatory system (that's the system of blood vessels and other components that takes blood around your body) is to take oxygen and other nutrients to the parts of the body that need them. Think of your blood as a delivery copmany that drops off supplies to each area of the body.
The amount of blood in your body is constant - it stays the same. Old blood cells die and are replaced. When you lose blood, your body will eventually recreate enough blood to replace it (this doesn't happen straight away, it takes some time) This is one of the reasons why it is important to drink water - it helps you to replenish your blood.
The circulatory system fails when too much blood is pumped to a particular area of your body. This is a problem because you only have a limited supply of blood, so if one part gets a lot of it, that means another part misses out.
Think of it as a package delivery service that drops the packages belonging to somebody at the wrong place. Without the nutrients and oxygen that your blood gives to all parts of your body, they can't function and are shut down.
The most part of your body in terms of getting blood supply is the brain. So if there is a small drop in the blood supply to the brain, for whatever reason (for example if you are exercising hard and causing the other areas of your body to need more fuel), your brain will have trouble operating. You will get dizzy spells and if it gets bad enough, you will autmotically faint, which is your body's safety switch, a way of getting more blood to the brain in an emergency.
