Probably nothing special. Flies can carry germs but germs are everywhere and you your body has defenses against them.
If a blow fly lands on food it will most likely deposit an egg. The eggs will hatch maggots which will eat the food and it will go rotten.
By you dropping you food ont he floor or even leaving food they can smell it which attracts them and thats why you see hourseflies

Housefly's are scavengers so they eat the left over scraps that are in the house.
I do not believe they will attempt to fly inside an abode like a common housefly. I do not believe they would eat any regular food matters like bread crumbs as does the common housefly.
