Nothing really happens honey. I've used tampon ever since my first. All it would do would suck the blood, But have like many and do in at your house in the bathroom. But remember to take it out every 8 hours or less. If it feel uncomfortable then push it in a little more *Remember to leave the string outside of the body; after eight hours or less, wrap it in toilet paper and throw it in the trash*

Tampons shouldn't be used from your first period because you don't know your flow pattern to know when it's safe to use tampons or what absorbency to use - using tampons without sufficient flow or using too high an absorbency increases risk of developing Toxic shock syndrome (TSS). In pre-teens and teens the risk of developing TSS is already greater so it's all the more important to reduce risks.

It's recommended to use pads at first and if you want to use internal options to consider safer products like menstrual cups - as well as safer and more hygienic these are a lot more convenient as they can be worn with any flow and from your first period for up to 12 hours (tampons should be changed every 4-6 hours, can't be worn with light flow, and you should alternate with pads). If you do chose to use tampons it's best to wait until you know your flow better, and follow precautions too.
