I think it is a very personal thing ,meaning every rock bottom is different. For over 5 years I didn't care whether I lived or died, paid a bill,so forth and so on.A addict is convinced that they have to have it to be "normal".Long story short when faced with the fact I was officially killing myselt.Black and white...terrible MRI scans and already diagnosed with an incurable, debilitating disease, which lead me to the drug use and the not wanting to live....Frankly,,that scared me clean.I have been clean nearly 5 years and still have days, weeks, whatever that I want it bad. This a fight that will never be over.I know now.....what is important to help stay clean...First....get away from everybody that is involved with the drug of choice because they do not care about you and you can no longer be taken advantage of.If your serious that is.As you get clean you find out who real friends are, the others you just shared an addiction not true friendship. Also, the fun always comes to an end!!! Good Luck!!
