It depends on your blood group and the other person's blood group.

Blood group AB positive can receive any blood from any blood group. O Negative can only receive O Negative blood. Serious reactions can occur if the wrong blood type is given to somebody, so the Blood Bank tests donated blood very carefully. When somebody needs a blood transfusion, their blood is sent to the Blood Bank who test it very carefully. Then they send the right sort of blood to the hospital to give to the patient needing a blood transfusion.

But blood type is not the only thing we have to think about. Some diseases and infections are carried in the blood, and the person giving the blood might not even know that their blood is infected, so the Blood Bank laboratories have to test the blood for infections too. Infections might be HIV which causes AIDS or hepatitis among others.

But blood is not always mixed in hospitals for sick people. Often children will make a small cut in their skin and their friend does the same thing. They then mix the blood to become "blood brothers". It has never been a good idea, but now we understand more about the dangers of life threatening infections, children should be warned about it and told not to do it.

Do you put a comma after sincerly yours?

No, you do not put a comma after "Sincerely yours" when it appears at the end of a letter. Instead, you should follow it with a comma as part of the closing salutation. For example, you would write "Sincerely yours," followed by your name on the next line.

If a blood cell is put into a high sodium solution it will become crenated (shrivel up). Water will flow out of the cell into the solution. If it is put in a low sodium solution it will absorb water/expand outward. If the sodium concentration of the blood cell and outside environment are the same, nothing will happen.
