FSH
Luteinizing Hormone produced by the pituitary gland present at the base of the brain. In women LH helps to regulate the menstrual cycle and egg production. It stimulates the follicles to release the egg. The level of LH varies depending on the period of the menstrual cycle. There is an increase just before the ovulation occurs. In men LH stimulates the production of testosterone and is very important for sperm production.
FSH :-abbreviation for follicle stimulating harmone.
High levels of the hormone oestrogen stimulates the production of FSH hormone in women.
Follicle Stimulating Hormone stimulates follicle and egg maturation in females and stimulates sperm production and maturation in males. Therefore low levels of FSH slows spermatogenesis.
A.C.T.H. meansAdrenocorticotrophichormone produced by anterior Pituitary stimulate cortisone production by adrenal cortex in response to 'stress'. Without this response you will not survive.Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)Acth hypothalus
Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH)
Follicle stimulating hormone stimulates the gonads to produce gametes. It is sometimes abbreviated FSH.
luternizing
FSH stimulates sperm production in the testes.
Gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH) is secreted by the hypothalamus to stimulate the anterior pituitary which in turn secretes reproductive hormones.(LH and FSH). These last two act differently in males and females. In females, LH, is involved in the menstrual cycle and the production of progesterone. In males, LH helps in the production of testosterone. In Females FSH, helps in the production of estrogen. In males FSH, is important in the maturation of sperm.
