You can use natural products geared towards ethnic hair. Do not use Pantene because they dry out your hair. Tresscence has great products for growth and hair health. I highly recommend Luxe' Lushe' for thicker curls and Esther Elixir and Purpose Pomade for growth-

No it doesn't necessarily mean that you came from a black background. White people have wavy/curly hair too. If you were Asian then there could be black history because curly hair is not a natural occurance there.
You cant get your hair naturally curly if you don't have naturally curly hair. However; if you do have naturally curly hair you can define your curls with a leave in conditioner.
