A 3 mm nonobstructing stone in the lower pole calyx of the right kidney refers to a small kidney stone located in the lower part of the renal pelvis, specifically within one of the kidney's collecting areas called the calyx. The term "nonobstructing" indicates that the stone is not blocking urine flow, which means it is less likely to cause immediate complications or severe symptoms. Typically, such stones may pass on their own without requiring treatment, although monitoring and supportive care may be recommended.

The two kidneys differ in location due to the presence of the liver on the right side of the body, which pushes the right kidney slightly lower than the left. Typically, the left kidney is positioned higher than the right kidney, sitting at about the level of the T12 to L3 vertebrae, while the right kidney sits lower, around the level of L1 to L4. In terms of size, the left kidney is often slightly larger than the right kidney, although the difference in size is generally minimal.
Because the right kidney is just below the liver and left kidney below spleen. Liver being larger in size on right side pushes right kidney a little downward, but such an action is not taken by spleen because of its small size on left side.
The right kidney sits under the liver, the largest internal organ. So it's lower down (2-8cm lower) than the left kidney which is under the spleen, a much smaller organ. The tops of the spleen and liver are pretty much in line due to the diaphragm, which is why where their lower borders are makes such a difference.

The right kidney is located near several important organs. Anteriorly, it is positioned near the liver and the duodenum of the small intestine. Medially, it is close to the ascending colon, while posteriorly, it is adjacent to the diaphragm and the lower ribs. Additionally, the right adrenal gland sits atop the right kidney.
