The brain is the organ that signals the body to react to changes. Your senses help you react to your environment by detecting the change. When you see danger coming, your brain is triggered to respond accordingly.

The nervous system recives stimuly from the external environment through the sense organs and transmit their information through the central nervous system. The central nervous system analysis it and than sends signal to the stimulate responses by the specific organs.
A stimulus or trigger initiates a response in an organism. This can be anything from a change in the environment, a hormone release, or a signal from the nervous system, leading to a specific reaction or behavior.
Auto regulation (intrinsic) is when a cell, organ, or organ system automatically adjusts itself in response to a change in the environment. Extrinsic regulation involves the nervous and/or endocrine system detecting a change and sending a signal or releasing a chemical to facilitate change in another organ system, organ, or cell.
