What is a low blood pressure for a sixteen year old girl?

Blood pressure of 120/80 mmHg is normal. Low blood pressure is a top number reading lower than 90 or pressure 25 mmHg lower than usual. Moderate to severe high blood pressure is a top number 160 or over or the bottom number of 100 or over.

Normal BP is 120/80 but BP can run as low as 80/40. Low BP is generally not a concern unless it begins to affect activities of daily living. Low BP is usually only addressed if a patient is experiencing symptoms such as dizziness or fatigue.
