What is being done to stop the spread of the diseases?

Education campaigns to let people know to use condoms when having sex, and to use clean needles when injecting drugs. If everyone did this, then AIDS and the HIV virus would no longer be a problem. Unfortunately some groups object so strongly to condoms that they will not encourage their use, even though condoms are the single best way of stopping the spread of AIDS. Spread the word. Use a condom!

In the United States, we educate populations at highest risk for infection about ways to prevent transmission. Free testing is also available where referrals into treatment are offered for those who test positive. Funding is also provided to other countries where services are more limited.
