I was just diagnosed with this today, it comes from stress. For months I was always scratching this one spot on the lower back of my head till one day I checked it out and it was very white and flaky, it sometimes would turn red around the edges due to irritation from all the scratching. Its not itchy all the time and after I wash my hair the flakes go away. Another symptom from cerebral dermatitis is flaky skin on your face, for me it was usually around the edges of my mouth and upper chin. I didn't think any of this, I just thought I had dandruff and my face wash made my face too dry. Come to find out all the stress from just starting college was getting to me and created cerebral dermatitis. GREAT!
