What is fribillation?

Fibrillation, in the heart, is the uncoordinated contraction of individaul muscle fibers, rendering the contraction useless for propelling blood. There are atrial fibrillation, common and treatable, and ventricular fibrillation, less common and the mother of all medical emergencies.
