What is interception of the bowel?

Its basically when the small intestine pushes inside the large intestine. most common in babies. i almost died from the condition when i was about a year old. but its very rarely fatal, especially these days (i'm 21 now, so 20 years ago medical tech was obviously less advanced). The operation to fix it is incredibly advanced and safe these days as far as i know. I've done some research on it. Hope that helps.

If left untreated it can be very bad. For the procedure they well try to go in laparoscopically through small incisions on the abdomen, if unsuccessful in that attempt they will cut an incision down abdomen from the ribs to the belly button. Separates the 2 end of the affected intestine. Staple each end then cut out the dead intestine. and attach the 2 stapled ends together. The first way is not so painful. recovery takes 2 weeks but the pain fades fairly quick after the third day.
