-Composite muscle is made up of unlike parts but perfroming the same function.e.g., Ilio-psoas is a composite muscle performing flexion at the hip joint.Its different parts are iliacus & psoas major.

-Tongue muscle itself is a composite muscle made up of various components like longitudinal, tranverse, horizontal muscles.

-The different parts may have different nerve supply.
