A fear of humans (not to be confused with agoraphobia, which is a fear of social interactions with humans).

What is it called when you are scared of people?

I believe this is a mixture of 2 phobias, as opposed to a specific phobia, my opinion is that it is Claustrophobia (fear of closed spaces) and Demophobia(fear of crowds/mobs).I get this sort of thing when around people...it's as if they're in my bubble and I haven't consciously allowed them in, i.e. if they hug me as opposed to me hugging them - but I usually have bigger anxieties when it's toward my face. I get short of breath, and sometimes get hot flushes/perspiration (especially in places like Supermarkets and Shopping Centres [Malls]).As for tackling this sort of phobia/anxiety, I would go to a Doctor/GP and ask for a referral to the relevent specialist.Hope this helps.
