Stomach sitting is a term used to describe a posture where a person sits on their stomach, often with their legs positioned underneath them and their upper body resting on the ground. This position can be comfortable for some individuals, particularly children, and is sometimes seen during play or relaxation. However, it may not be advisable for prolonged periods as it can strain the neck and back.

Left side of the upper torso has some organs that may be responsible for causing pain. These usually are the stomach or the diaphragm. If it is the stomach you would probably have other symptoms associated with the pain that you would recognize. If it is the diaphragm it may hurt more when you inhale or exhale deeply and would not matter if you are standing or sitting.
Sit ups tone muscles, but you can lose some of your stomach just by weight loss. If you still need to tone up, just try contracting your stomach muscles when you're sitting down. Try to contract them for as long as you can; you should see an improvement after a week.
