Your neck can definitely be pulled so that it is sore for a few days as well--I got a concussion skiing and I could barely lift my head because of all the nausea and pain in my neck. Common symptoms for a concussion are feeling lightheaded, memory loss, nausea, and yes, even falling asleep. If you have any of these symptoms to where you can't even function normally because of the pain/discomfort, I think you should see your doctor pretty soon. :-/
