Depending on the type you get, an IUD can pause or lessen your periods. A hormonal IUD is more likely than a copper IUD to stop your periods, and depending on your body mass, you may entirely stop your cycle. A lighter person (<125lb) is more likely to stop than a heavier person(>160lb) consult your doctor for more information.

Anawer. Yes, some birth control pills are known to have that sideffect and another commen sideffect is missing periods.. It must have something to do with the hormones in the pills. (technicaly birth control pills are steroids cause of the hormoes and they are known to have some of the same sideffects) But when it happens -if it happens, you cant be sure, but dont worry you will not suddenly get round like a ball.

yep it sure is i never had two but they were very prolonged and i had friends who had their periods all month if this persists for every pack consider switching because the hormones are probably not right for your body i dont know a single person who has gotten the right brand of birth control right away i recently had to switch after being on Alesse for 8 months because of irregular periods which didnt happen in the beginning but ya it is perfectly normal

if you aren't terribly late, it could possibly be normal. yasmin is also designed to help make periods easier in addition to birth control. periods may be slightly late since they will be less painful and shorter.
