Pimples are a curse of the teenager. They are linked to the rush of hormones that turn a child into an adult, and they are liked by nobody. The pimples are infected oil glands which accumulate ahite corpuscles that are sent to fight the infection. So you need to reduce the oil and keep your skin sterile. Keep your skin oiliness down by using a quite strong soap that will strip off the oil. Avoid gentle face soaps with added moisturisers. Sterilize your skin with a good disinfectant. Keep your hands clean too, as we all touch our faces a lot. It is good advice to change your pillow cover every night if possible, or wrap a clean towel over your pillow and change that every night. This reduces re-infection from your pimple contaminated pillow. There are a number of retail creams one can apply to your skin, most of which work to both dry out a lot of the oilyness of your skin and to sterilize your skin. In very bad cases, you can have a hormonal treatment prescribed by a doctor which reduces the cause of the oiliness.

Your best bet would be to wash your face with a gentle cleanser 2-3 times a day. Once a day after washing, apply rubbing alcohol as a toner. Always use an oil-free moisturizer after washing your face. Other tips: - If you wear makeup, ALWAYS wash it off before going to bed. Try to avoid wearing makeup as often as possible, as it causes breakouts. - Change/wash your pillow case at least once a week. Built up oil and dirt on your pillow can contribute to breakouts. - Avoid using a scrub more than three times a week. Over use will cause irritation, peeling, and can even make your face produce MORE oil. - Keep your hair out of your face. - Don't pick at blemishes. - Put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and swab it over your phone. Dirt and makeup build up from it can cause breakouts. If you have a serious acne problem, talk to a dermatologist.

When you wash your face, you are removing all the natural oils in the skin. So the first instinct that the skin does is... Produce more oil to nourish the skin. But if you replenish the oil after you wash your face then the skin does not need to produce any more or will produce less. When your face is oily or when you are sweating and you touch your face, the dirt from your hands go on your face. Then the dirt and oil go into your pores of your face and produce pimples or acne
