Calculus (plural calculi) is the medical term meaning stone.
The medical term for pertaining to the common bile duct is "choledochal."
Choledochotomy is the medical term meaning surgical incision into the common bile duct.
If done through the mouth/throat, it's called endoscopy.Choledocholithotomy is surgical incision into the common bile duct to remove a stone.choledocholithotomy(koh-led-oh-koh-lih-THOT-oh-mee) is an incision into the common bile duct for the removal of gallstones
Urinary stones or urinary calculi mean the same. But the more refined term is urinary calculi.
Cholelithiasis, commonly known as gallstones, is a condition where solid particles form in the gallbladder, typically due to imbalances in the substances that make up bile. These particles can range in size from small pebbles to large stones, causing symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, and jaundice. Treatment may involve medications to dissolve the stones or surgery to remove the gallbladder.
The term for bile not flowing is cholestasischolestatic
Bilirubin is the term given to red bile produced by hemolysis in the spleen. biliverdin is the term given to green bile.
The stones are called Cholesterol stones (made from cholesterol-green/yellow color) or pigmented stones (which are made from bilirubin- blackish tarry color)
renal calculi
I'm not sure what you mean by "more medical". Renal means having to do with the kidneys, and calculus is Latin for "pebble". Renal calculi are, therefore, "kidney stones" ... but I don't see how that's "more medical."
