The toy was originally called "Slink" when it was invented in the 1940s. The name was later changed to "Slinky" by the inventor's wife, who liked the way the word sounded.
I think that the Slinky original is the best. It's bigger than the Slinky Jr. and will most likely go faster! BTW, I LOVE Slinky! Chow, ;)
