The cause of female urethral instability is still controversial. With the help of this retrospective analysis of 1168 continuous long-term recordings of the intraurethral pressure at the maximum point of urethral pressure, the correlation between pressure variations (UPV) and simultaneous bladder instability was investigated. It could be stated that clinically important UPV (more than 15 cmH2O) are found more often in women who suffer from signs of bladder instability (defined as low bladder compliance combined with uninhibited detrusor contractions and/or urinary leakage) than in patients without signs of unstable bladder. the urethra
The prostatic or membranous urethra
Dilating the urethra is done when there is a stricture (abnormal narrowing) of the urethra in order to make the urethra wider.
The urethra.
The ejaculatory duct opens into the prostatic part of the urethra, specifically where the prostatic urethra meets with the membranous urethra. This junction is located within the prostate gland.
The urethra; it is located between the clitoris and the vaginal introitus in the vulva.
urethra basically near the penis but its the urethra
Urethra has three regions in males, the prostatic urethra, membranous urethra, and the spongy urethra.
the urethra which runs down the center of the erect penis. The urethra is also used for urination in both men and women.
There is no defined region of urethra: it begins a at the bladder and ends at the head of the penis. The external urethra, the area that you can see, is called the meatus.
Females have a very short urethra coming off the bladder. The male's is longer because it has to go through the penis.
Urethropexy is the surgical fixation of the urethra. Where as urethroplasty is the surgical repair of the urethra. Urethropexy restores the urethra to its proper place.urethropexyurethropexy
