Once the eggs of the round worms enter your digestive tract, they pass through your stomach intact. The larvae are liberated in the small intestine. They enter the portal venous system. They pass through the liver to enter the hepatic vein. Then they pass to the right side of your heart through inferior vena cave. Then they pass to the capillaries of lungs. From there they enter the pulmonary alveolus. Then they travel through bronchial tree in opposite direction to larynx and then pharynx. They are swallowed back and reenter the digestive tract. Then they grow into adult male and female worms. The female passes millions of ova in the feces after mating with the male. Ova take few days in a soil to be able to reinfect the host.
