The liver is the largest internal organ in the human body, and is an organ present in vertebrates and some other animals. It plays a major role in metabolism and has a number of functions in the body, including glycogen storage, decomposition of red blood cells, plasma protein synthesis, and detoxification. This organ also is the largest gland in the human body. It lies below the diaphragm in the thoracic region of the abdomen. It produces bile, an alkaline compound which aids in digestion, via the emulsification of lipids. It also performs and regulates a wide variety of high-volume biochemical reactions requiring very specialized tissues. Medical terms related to the liver often start in hepato- or hepatic from the Greek word for liver, hēpar Liver also plays main role in medicines metbolism etc.
The human body has one liver.
The human body typically has one liver.
There is only one liver in the human body.
Every human, and animals included, have livers which act as the filter for the contents streaming along with blood.
A human body typically has one liver. However, in rare cases, a person may be born with an extra, known as a supernumerary liver, or may have a liver transplant resulting in having two livers.
Humans have only one liver in the body.
Having two livers in the human body would not be possible as the body typically has only one liver. The liver is a vital organ that performs various functions such as detoxification, metabolism, and storage of nutrients. If a person were to have two livers, it would likely result in complications and health issues due to the imbalance in the body's functions.
in your body
no punk.
Not all animals livers are bigger (compared to body weight) than humans. However, some animals' livers are a larger proportion of the body weight because those animals are carnivores (unlike humans which are omnivores). A possible reason for this is that carnivores must be prepared for large, infrequent meals - so their liver needs to be large to deal with a sudden large intake of fat. Other animals, such as horses and cows, have larger livers simply because they are a much larger animal than a human (and in fact their livers are smaller relative to body weight).
its bigger :(
We have one liver in our body.
