Both involve the intake of food. Binge eating typically means eating too much whereas Bulimic people may not eat too much or they could binge, bulimia prompts them to vomit what they have eaten, usually in an effort to limit/reduce caloric intake.

Binge-eating disorder and bulimia nervosa are both associated with periods of excessive eating/compulsive overeating. The difference comes in withcompensatorybehaviour.

Bulimics compensate for their binging by either purging (inducing vomiting, using laxatives ordiureticsor enemas) or by fasting (not eating) or by exercising excessively. Thus, bulimics are generally not overweight.

People with binge-eating disorder do not compensate for their excessive eating by purging, fasting or exercise. For this reason, people with binge-eating disorder are almost always overweight.

With binge eating disorder the person will consume an insane amount of food but they will not purge it. Someone who has bulimia or anorexia would definitely purge all that they could.
