MRSA, in my mind, is the worst bacterial infection. I had a relative die from a MRSA infection caught in an OR in a Hospital, and had a relative visit the OR in a hospital (not the same Hospital where it was transmitted in the OR) and also caught MRSA. Forbes (see related link) lists several deadly bacteria which includes 1 fungal infection as well.

The virulence of bacteria depends on factors such as their ability to produce toxins, invade host tissues, and evade the host immune response. Bacteria that possess these virulence traits are often capable of causing severe infections and disease in the host, making them deadly. In contrast, bacteria lacking these virulence factors tend to be harmless and may even provide benefits to the host.

Dog fleas are more successful parasites than deadly bacteria because they have adapted well to living on their host and reproducing rapidly. Fleas have evolved specific structures to help them feed on blood and move efficiently between hosts. In comparison, bacteria that cause deadly diseases often require specific conditions to survive and reproduce, making them less capable of widespread transmission.
