There is a lower back muscle called the latissimus dorsi and your deltoids and trapezius make up your upper back. The deltoids are on your shoulder and your trapezius is the muscle on the back of your neck.
The soleus muscle inserts into the posterior calcaneus via the Achilles tendon.

The posterior arytenoids are called safety muscle because paralysis of the posterior cricoarytenoid muscles may lead to asphyxiation as they are the only laryngeal muscles to open the true vocal folds, allowing inspiration and expiration.
The prominent muscle on the posterior aspect of the lower leg is the gastrocnemius muscle. It is the larger, more superficial muscle of the calf that helps with plantar flexion of the foot, such as when pointing the toes downward.
